Being at Vroman's was a little like coming home, which is weird because it's at the beginning of our tour!
Aurora lives a hop, skip, and a jump away, and she and I had been known to go there and comb through each aisle, looking through books and showing each other things that we felt were especially gorgeous or notable. This happened a lot as we were in the planning stages of creating DIY Rules for a WTF World, and now here we are, reading at that very same bookstore, that very same book we had been planning inside of it!
Vroman's has a very storied (ha!) reputation, and big names come to Pasadena to read at both of its locations with frequency. Just a few weeks ago, Chelsea Clinton read her newest children's book in the area upstairs-- two months after Krista and she met at the BlogHer Awards presentation in NYC. It really is a small world after all, when you hang out at Vromans!
