Congressional Briefing

NCADV’s Congressional Briefing, sponsored by Senator Amy Klobuchar, focuses on the intersection of domestic violence and firearms. A panel of experts from domestic violence and gun violence prevention organizations will speak, and the panel will be moderated by NCADV Executive Director, Ruth M. Glenn. A brief Q&A session will follow the panel.

DVAM Anniversary Celebration

This October marks the 30th anniversary of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), and NCADV is honoring this historic anniversary with an awards presentation and screening of the documentary, Home Truth.

Lobby Day

NCADV’s annual day of lobbying includes a full day of activities. Attendees will learn about effective lobbying techniques and examine some of the most critical issues facing survivors and victims of domestic violence before they participate in a series of scheduled meetings with staff members of their members of Congress.
